We respect the rights of music creators and rights holders, and we respond to notices of alleged infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
1. Reporting infringement
If you believe a work on the platform infringes your copyright, send a written notice including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) the URL or certificate number of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
2. Designated agent
DMCA Agent, Mobile Interactive LLC — dmca@modularmusic.example (placeholder; formal designation with the U.S. Copyright Office is pending and must be completed before launch).
3. Our process
- Valid notices result in prompt removal or disabling of the material (takedown).
- The contributor who submitted the material is notified and may submit a counter-notice.
- Repeat infringers’ accounts are terminated.
- Takedown actions are recorded in the platform’s audit log.
4. Misrepresentation
Knowingly false infringement claims may create liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
